BELLEVILLE MINE NEVADA
A Real Late Bloomer?
Unoccupied Historic Mine Site
Mineral County
Circa 1928
A Gold ore vein was discovered at the Belleville Mine site in 1928. A mine and a Mill operation followed soon after. Much of the mill operation remains intact; however the mine above has long since collapsed. There are signs that basic electricity was used here while the site was in operation, but remnants indicate that the site may have been abandoned some time in the late 1930’s.
There are a couple of other buildings very near the site that may have housed the mine offices or possible a bunk house for miners who did not want to travel back to Mina between shifts.

Hovel in background may have served as the explosive storage shed.

I thought about making him our dinner, but decided that there was not
enough to feed all 9 of us. Lucky Bunny!

Electrical Panels and Refrigerators, these guys had it made.

Heavy Mill Equipment left behind.

View towards mine above mill operation.
